Just got the following press release, but I had seen an announcement by Revelation that they were going to handle Indecision’s distribution. Speaking of Revelation, I didn’t see any big announcements, but when Koch purchased Navarre, Revelation left to work with Red Eye. I am sure there is a story there because if I am not mistaken Revelation was at one time distributed by Koch.
The press release can be found by clicking the following link:

In June of 2006 I wrote a post on my old blog about Radiohead, and how they could potentially shift music business into 2.0 with digital self distribution of an album. It seems that very thing has come to pass.
With very little fanfare, they have launched a site for their next release, In Rainbows. To be made available only by pre-order (as either a box set/ digital or digital only) through this website at first.

Lumberjack Mordam announced earlier this week that they were shutting down operations of their Sacremento office/warehouse and consolidating everything to their Toledo office/warehouse. In the same press release, they mentioned that they are going to stop making paper mailers and primarily send out digital mailers to update buyers with new releases. You can read the entire press release below.
I remember going to the Lumberjack Mordam conferences when they announced the merger and thought that they should consider consolidating offices/warehouses as it seemed silly to me to have 2. And I don’t think it is a bad move to move to a paperless mailer. It saves money, creates less waste, and when I get inundated with mailers, I usually just throw them away. Now if they can only work on a better html email format, they should be all set. I hope nothing but good things for LMMG and hope these cost saving efforts help their bottom line. We all have to take ever single expense and scrutinize over them these days as sales continue to shrink.
