Notable Major Label Releases - Coheed and Cambria sold 60,000 copies which I think someone predicted perfectly. Say Anything sold 25,000 copies. Ryan Adams sold 18,000 copies. Ween sold 12,000 copies (damn, I love WEEN!). Cobra Starship sold 10,000 copies.

Upcoming releases / Predictions - New releases by Operation Ivy (finally!), Jim Ward, a reissue for the Plain White T’s, Demon Hunter. Angels and Airwaves, and a bunch I know I am missing. If you can help by adding in comments new records out this week, i will be forever grateful!

hey Virg, is the OpIvy just the Hellcat re-release of Energy? And how has the new Dropkick Murphys compared to their previous, The Warrior’s Code? I don’t know if you have those numbers, I was just wondering how much of a push they got from all the publicity lately. I wouldn’t be shocked to see another spike with all the attention they’re getting this week from the Red Sox.

I heard Thrice had some distro problems. The number’s seem low, to me. Especially with everyone giving the album a great review.

Angels & Airwaves gets released next week. Saves the Day released a new album on Vagrant this week. Any predictions? I’ll say 17,000.

matt, Warriors Code has scanned around 180,000 copies so far so it would seem as though the new one is on track to get somewhere close.

And yes, the op ivy is the re-issue of “Energy” which I expect could have a solid first week. The album from what i have heard has gone platinum but it has been unavailable for over 6 months. Could we see 5,000 copies? maybe

Any numbers for Crime In Stereo?

Matt, the Operation Ivy album is actually a brand new album of originals. They have just decided to keep this hush hush and release it under the same title and add (reissue) to its name.

Virgil, is DM’s The Warriors Code still on the indie Top 200? If it is, would you mind posting it alongside The Meanest Of Times in next week’s sales report? Thanks.

I’ve received information that the best selling Street Dogs release stands at 12,000 copies. Can anyone confirm or deny this information? That is a far cry from the sales of Dropkick Murphys.

    Hello again Virgil.

Sorry if I’m sounding like a broken record here, but seeing that Overkill will probably still be on the charts again next week, could you post their numbers again?

    As always, thanks!

P.S. - If Arch Enemy, Iced Earth, and Exodus are still hanging in there, could you sneak them in too?

I am full of crap. There was a lot of sarcasm in that post. Don’t waste your money on the Operation Ivy CD. The artwork is identical to the previous release. It is claimed to be remastered but the old mastering credit is still listed in the CD. And it sounds identical to the old release.
