Notable Major label releases - Jimmy Eat World sold 63,000 good enough for #5. Bruce Springsteen again tops the overall charts, this time with 77,000 copies sold.
Upcoming / Predictions - New releases by Coheed and Cambria, Say Anything, Crime in Stereo, Caliban, Cobra Starship, The Briefs, VAlley Arena, and much much more. Sorry I know, I missed a bunch, but my computer problems this week finds me struggling for time. Feel free to add comments on who I missed and what you think they might do first week out. thanks.

You are like the 5th person in the last 3 months to have their computer die on them. This scares me.

the worst part is that after taking my entire computer apart at the urging of a Dell technician, they sent someone out to replace the Mother board and it still didn’t turn on. You know what the problem was? The cord was messed up. Dell doesn’t sell cords in retail spots so I had to have it overnighted and DHL took an extra day explaining that we were not home when they attempted delivery, but I work out of my house and was home all day. Fuckers!
If you don’t have a system in place for backing up everything, do so now. It is a lot of work, but you will thank yourself down the road.

I’m glad you got it all worked out.
I just wanted to add that All Time Low did around 3,400 and are up to 28,500.
Am I the only one that’s really not into the new Thrice??
I’m really shocked at Scary Kids numbers. Pretty low.
Awesome to see AILD still doing well.

Hey Virgil, glad to hear that you’ve got your computer up and running again! Sorry that it was a pain in the ass to get things sorted out - I don’t wish computer problems on anyone cause I hate it when they happen to me!
In any case, thanks for posting your updates in spite of tehnical adversity!
Special thanks of course for the ton of metal updates this week ;)
I’m really happy to see that Overkill saw only a relatively small drop in week 2. Could you post an update for them if they manage a 3rd week?
Thanks and keep up the great posts!

Whilhelm Scream didn’t do so well this week? Bummer. Great numbers for Thrice, but the jury is still out on the record though.

I’m really interested to see what Cobra Starship is going to do. There is a lot of hype with them and they’ve been hanging out in the Pete Wentz circle, even with non-music stuff.
I think the lead singer even had a blog about being in a limo and some rich dude throwing money everywhere.
Not sure how I feel about this band but I’m really interested to see what their first week will be.

[…] The latest indie chart should be out at any time now, but until it is available, here is last week’s. Take a look at sales figures for that week. Indie sales figures for charting albums do not come close to those of charting albums on Billboard. Bo’s debut is not a disappointment unless one were expecting it to be the album of the year, which I don’t believe was Bo’s goal. […]
