Does anyone recommend something to record Skype phone calls?
I am looking for a recommended USB phone that I can use with Skype that will allow me to record my calls through my computer. I use I-Sound mp3 recorder that allows me to record all audio that comes through my computer as an mp3. I just want to find a good phone to make the calls.
I am planning to do mini-interviews with our acts and with people in the industry and post them on IndieHQ and Suburban Home as mp3s. Kind of like a mini-podcast but only a minute or two in length for those of us with short attention spans. Instead of a long interview, I might call up someone at a label and ask them one or two questions. I thought that might be a neat way to share opinions.
Please let me know if you recommend any USB skype phones. thanks.

So…speaking of interviews. I heard you have a Trophy Scars interview that’s been on the rocks for a while :)

I have a few band interviews that I have yet to “publish”; I just have not been stoked on the band interviews as a whole as most of the bands say the same things. I feel kind of bad about it, but somehow interviews kept pouring in and it went against what I had hoped it would become.

You can just download Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net), and then when recording set it to record Stereo Mix instead of ‘Microphone’. This can be changed via the option to the top right of the window.

bruce, i have been using www.2recall.com and you can use any kind of phone with it. I did not like recording my skype calls due to long pauses in conversations which made for natural phone conversations to exist. I highly recommend 2recall although I am still new to it.
