I have been meaning to write this post for a while as I have been a very happy user of Music Arsenal. Music Arsenal is a web-based contact management tool with so many more features aimed for use by Bands and Labels. I really hope that everyone who reads IndieHQ considers checking out Music Arsenal as it is capable of being your band or label’s greatest asset.
I will explain briefly some of the many uses that could be of great help for you:
Contact Management
At the core of Music Arsenal is a great web-based database where you can manage all of your contacts. Additionally, if you have multiple users (band members or staff), you can have all of your contacts in one place where everyone can have access and the ability to update in real time. And you can upload contacts through uploading excel files. Also, if you are on the road and need a contact, you can log into Musicarsenal.com and have access to all of your contacts no matter where you are at.
Tour Date Management
Through Music Arsenal’s interface, you can post tour dates and have them syndicated to sites like Podbop and Eventful. If you so desire, you can also syndicate the dates on your label site, myspace, or blog. As there are more and more places to post tour dates, the ease with which to post dates on multiple sites is a welcome tool.
Promotional Mailings / Generating mailing labels
With your contacts all in one place, you can manage mailing lists and promotional mailouts with ease. You can print labels to Avery templates making your life even easier. If you have regular contacts that you send all of your releases to, for example, you can set those contacts up in Music Arsenal further simplifying the process.
Other tools
Although I have yet to take advantage of some of the other tools, Music Arsenal has a great interface with keeping on top of all of your projects. You also have the ability to send email reminders to yourself, band mates, or staff depending on who all is involved with the project.
There are so many more options that I am not even tackling. Just know that Music Arsenal could become your greatest ally. Sure there are other contact management tools, yes there are other project management sites, but I don’t know of a web-based solution that has everything under one roof. Music Arsenal was built with people involved in the music industry in mind and it shows.
I can’t say enough about Music Arsenal; if you don’t have an organized system in place for keeping control of your contacts, tour dates, and projects, make sure you visit the Music Arsenal site. You will be glad you did.
