MP3 - Snowden “Anti Anti”, most blogged about band?
According to a recent Jade Tree post, their band Snowden, have recently topped the charts as one of the most blogged about bands. According to Elbow.ws, their track, “Anti-Anti” is the most blogged about track on the web. Elbow.ws is an mp3 aggregator that monitors over 1,500 mp3 blogs and extracts band and mp3 data.
Jade Tree must have hired a publicist who has serviced tracks by Snowden to music blogs all over the world and it has obviously gotten some attention for a band that many would not otherwise know. What will this mean for their record sales? Snowden’s debut album on Jade Tree, “Anti-Anti” is in stores this week. Will the online attention help put the album into a good spot on the indie charts? We will soon find out. Labels are realizing the importance of music blogs as they have helped bands like Clap Your Hands Say yeah and Tapes ‘N Tapes gain music fans.
How is the song you ask? It is alright. Kind of reminds me of Wolf Parade mixed with the Killers, but not as good as either band. I am curious to hear the rest of the album and I might do so on Emusic!

i have become addicted to mp3 blogs lately and after reading this i checked the archives and i am one of the lucky subscribers that has the track. i agree that it is nothing special but not too shabby. maybe emusic will serve me up the album when my downloads refresh.
